Official football club colors: 30 crests and their shades
Every club has one reference color, and it is rarely the one you picture. Here are the official shades used in ToonTone's Football mode, league by league, so you can check your memory against the real thing.
Why a club color is one exact value
A crest is drawn once, in a color defined by the club's brand guidelines. That value has a hex code and, for anyone using a picker, a hue, a saturation and a brightness. Fans remember an impression: Liverpool is red, Chelsea is blue, Palmeiras is green. The quiz asks for the impression to become a value, and the gap between the two is where every point is lost.
The colors, club by club
Each swatch below is the club's reference color as it appears in the game. The name next to it describes the family: a warm or a cold red, a sky or a royal blue. Two clubs can share a family and still sit far apart once you look closely.

Brazilian clubs in the mode
Flamengo and Palmeiras are the two Brazilian giants in the Football mode. Flamengo's red is warmer and darker than the English reds, closer to brick than to scarlet. Palmeiras' green is deep and fully saturated, far darker than most players guess. The crest of the Brazilian national team is in the National Teams mode.
Reds, blues and yellows that look alike
Seven clubs on this list are red, and none share a shade. Arsenal and Milan are almost pure; Manchester United and Liverpool sit a little darker; Bayer Leverkusen is the purest of all. The blues run from Manchester City's sky blue to Chelsea's deep royal. Real Madrid, Roma, Dortmund and Valencia are all yellow, and the four sit close enough to feel the same, far enough to cost a point.

Where do these values come from?
Each value is the reference color used by ToonTone for that crest, taken from the club's official identity. Clubs occasionally update their guidelines, so a value can differ slightly from an older kit or crest.
Why are there no color codes on this page?
Because the codes would be the answer key. While you play, the picker shows the code of your own setting, never the target's, and the leaderboard only means something if everyone guesses from memory.
Are Brazilian clubs included?
Yes: Flamengo and Palmeiras play alongside the European clubs, and the National Teams mode adds the crest of the Brazilian federation.
