Why character colors stick in memory

Character design relies heavily on color. A hero's outfit, a villain's cape, a sidekick's accent detail — each one is chosen to be instantly recognizable. That is why you can picture Goku's orange gi or Pikachu's yellow without hesitation. But when you try to reproduce that exact shade with a slider, the gap between recognition and precision becomes clear.

Stylized palettes are harder than they look

Cartoon and anime palettes are not random. Skin tones lean warmer or cooler depending on the art style. Costumes use saturated accent colors that stand out on screen. How to approach a character color round
