Play a color guessing game with friends

Color guessing is more fun when someone else is trying to beat your score. ToonTone offers two ways to play with others: online Multiplayer and local Duel mode.

Online Multiplayer

In Multiplayer, you are matched with other players online. Everyone receives the same challenges at the same time and guesses independently. Scores are compared at the end of each round, so you can see how your color perception stacks up against real opponents. It adds a competitive edge that pushes you to be more precise with every slider adjustment.

Local Duel on one device

Duel mode is designed for two players sharing a single phone or tablet. You take turns guessing the same hidden color, then pass the device. At the end of the round, the player with the higher accuracy wins. It is a quick and satisfying way to settle who really has the better eye for color — no second device or internet connection needed.

Why playing against others helps

Solo practice builds your baseline, but competition reveals your weak spots. When you see that another player scored higher on a shade you thought you nailed, it forces you to reconsider your approach. Were you off on hue, saturation or brightness? Multiplayer feedback is more motivating than a static score because it is relative — your accuracy is measured against someone else's in real time.

Tips for competitive play

Speed matters, but not as much as precision. A fast guess that is far off scores lower than a careful guess that lands close. Take the extra second to check your brightness before submitting. Also, play categories you are less comfortable with in solo first, then bring that experience into Multiplayer. Players who practice across all 12 categories tend to perform more consistently.
