About this mode
Thirty franchises built on deep, muted tones that refuse to be pinned down.
NFL identities lean on deep, muted tones — navy, forest, burgundy, midnight — which are far harder to reproduce than bright primaries. Getting the hue right is rarely the problem here; getting the darkness right almost always is.

How scoring works
Each guess is scored out of 10 based on how far your color sits from the real one. Five rounds are averaged into a final score, so one weak round does not decide the run. The reveal after every guess is the part that makes you better — it shows whether you missed on hue, on saturation or on brightness.
Leaderboard
Finishing a run places you on the public leaderboard for this category, with a 24-hour ranking that resets daily and an all-time ranking. No account is needed — just pick a nickname.

Why do dark team colors score lower?
At low brightness, large differences in hue become almost invisible, so players tend to settle too early. Adjusting brightness before fine-tuning the hue usually improves the result.
Is the quiz affiliated with the NFL?
No. ToonTone is an independent game with no connection to the NFL or its franchises. Team marks are referenced for identification only.
